He can be recognised from a distinctive nick on his fin.

Sundance is a social dolphin who is often seen splashing and leaping with others.

Male bottlenose dolphins often form close bonds and help each other in fights with other males over females or food.

April 2003: Sundance in now over twelve years old and has new scratches on his fin.
Sundance is one of the most regualy seen dolphin in inner Firth were as other young dolphins have moved away.
He is often seen between Cromarty and the cliffs at Eathie.
Sundance has been seen in a group of six or seven other dolphins moving through Chanonry narrows putting on a display for visitors at Fortrose Lighthouse.
October 2003: Sundance has been photographed on seven different occasions, when he was been with 5 to 8 other dolphins.
Sundance is now 13 years old but still relatively young and inexperienced adult.
He has been seen in a goup of five, with a female and three other males.
They were leaping high out of the water and trying to ram their heads together which is a behaviour called head-butting, it's not known wether sundance was fighting over the female, or just practising.
